Are there problems in your business that concern you, but you postpone them indefinitely because they seem difficult to handle?

Some things in our lives cause turmoil and we avoid dealing with them. What we do in these cases is simply to look elsewhere. Your business may have a number of seemingly unsolved problems that you are not willing to fully address. The result is that they continue to annoy you and get your attention.

The reason for any problem in your business lies in some reluctance on your part to confront it completely.

So how could you increase your ability to deal with different problems? A simple but effective practice is the following:

1. Write down a list of ALL of the problems your business faces, no matter how small or big they look.

2. Find out which one of the above problems is, in your opinion, easier to address and write it on a separate sheet.

3. Decide what is the first thing you are absolutely sure you can do with this particular problem. Don't worry if it's something very simple (e.g. a phone call), just write it down under the problem.

4. Do this first thing you are absolutely sure you can do.

5. Decide what is the second thing you are absolutely sure you can do with this particular problem.

6. Do this second thing you are absolutely sure you can do.

7. Continue the process until you have completely or to a satisfactory degree resolved the problem. Then, select the next easiest problem from the problem list and take the same steps.

What happens when you do the steps above? Step by Step, you confront the various problems of your business. Going from the easiest problem to the harder one, your increase gradually your willingness, your self-confidence and your ability to resolve the problems. This practice can be applied to all areas of life, with wonderful results. The worst thing you can do about a problem is to do nothing.

So, confront step by step your business problems and start feeling better!
